Signs you need it

  • More than one fixture draining slowly at the same time
  • Toilets that gurgle when a sink or tub drains
  • Water backing up at a floor drain or tub when the washer runs
  • Sewer smell from drains

What we do

  • Cable (snake) the line to clear the blockage
  • Hydro jet grease, sludge and roots when a cable is not enough
  • Run a camera through the line and show you what is in it
  • Tell you plainly whether it is a one-time clog or a pipe problem

What is different in Utah

Older neighborhoods in Salt Lake City, Ogden, Holladay and Provo have clay and cast iron sewer laterals under mature trees, and roots are the most common cause of repeat main-line clogs. Hard-water scale also narrows old galvanized drain lines over time.

Drain Cleaning cost

Typical range: $49 drain cleaning; $400–$900 for hydro jetting. This is an estimate for typical Wasatch Front homes. Your written quote is the actual price. 0% financing options are available, subject to credit approval.

Frequently asked questions

How much does drain cleaning cost?

Drain cleaning is $49. That is our everyday price, not a limited-time special, and no service call fee is added to it. Hydro jetting, camera inspections and pipe repairs are priced separately, and you get that price before any work starts.

Should I use chemical drain cleaner?

We don’t recommend it. Caustic cleaners rarely clear a real blockage, can damage older pipes and finishes, and leave a hazardous liquid sitting in the line. A plunger or a hand snake is safer, and a cable machine is the proper fix.

Why does my drain keep clogging?

Repeat clogs usually mean something is wrong with the pipe: tree roots, a sag (belly) that holds water, heavy scale, or a partial collapse. A camera inspection shows which one it is.

How do I know it is the main sewer line?

If several fixtures back up together, or the lowest drain in the house backs up when you run water elsewhere, the problem is almost always the main line rather than a single fixture.
