What is different in Utah
Utah’s dry heat means systems here deal mostly with temperature rather than humidity, and air conditioners lose some capacity at altitude. Both affect sizing. New systems now use R-454B or R-32 refrigerant in place of R-410A.

What size air conditioner do I need?
It depends on your home’s size, insulation, windows, sun exposure and ductwork. A load calculation gives the answer. Square footage alone does not.
Should I replace my furnace at the same time?
If the furnace is also near the end of its life, replacing both together saves labor and gives you a matched system. If the furnace is newer, we can pair a new AC to it.
How long does installation take?
