Hydro Jetting in Utah

High-pressure water jetting that scours grease, scale and roots out of drain and sewer lines.

Ares Plumbing & HVAC provides hydro jetting for drain and sewer lines across the Wasatch Front. A hydro jetter uses high-pressure water to scour the full inside of the pipe, removing grease, sludge, scale and roots that a cable machine only pokes a hole through. It is the right tool when clogs keep coming back.

Signs you need it

  • A main line that clogs again weeks or months after being cabled

  • Roots in the sewer line
  • Slow drains throughout the house with no single blockage

What we do

  • Camera the line first to confirm the pipe can take jetting
  • Jet the line from the cleanout with the right nozzle for grease, scale or roots
  • Camera it again so you can see the result
  • Tell you if the pipe itself needs repair

What is different in Utah

Older Wasatch Front neighborhoods have clay and cast iron sewer laterals under mature trees, and roots are the usual cause of repeat backups. Hard-water scale also builds up inside old drain lines, and jetting removes it where a cable cannot.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between hydro jetting and snaking a drain?

A cable, or snake, breaks through a clog to get the line flowing. Hydro jetting cleans the whole inside wall of the pipe. Snaking is the right first step for a simple clog. Jetting is for buildup and repeat clogs.

Can hydro jetting damage pipes?

It is safe for pipe in sound condition. It can worsen pipe that is already cracked or collapsed, which is why we run a camera through the line first.

Is hydro jetting included in the $49 drain cleaning?

No. The $49 drain cleaning is a standard cable cleaning. Hydro jetting is a separate service, and you get the price before any work starts.
