Davis County climate and water
Davis County is a narrow strip between the Great Salt Lake and the Wasatch Mountains. It gets cold winters, lake-effect snow and, most notably, strong east canyon winds that can damage outdoor equipment. West-side neighborhoods near the lake can have shallow groundwater.
Davis County water is generally hard, with the level depending on your city’s mix of well water and water delivered from Weber Basin. Your provider’s annual water quality report lists the hardness. More in our guide: how hard is Utah water.
Permits in Fruit Heights
Water heater, furnace, air conditioner, gas line and sewer work in Fruit Heights generally requires a permit from the Fruit Heights building department. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection as part of the job.
